Winifred and I went to England in 1981 with some friends from the Society for Creative Anachronism, Laurelen and his wife Ithriliel. (They liked pretending they were Tolkien-ish elves.) They also liked King Arthur, so we went to a lot of Arthurian sites. We traveled all over England, Wales, and Scotland. When I travel with friends, I don’t bother keeping a travel diary, so there’s no real account of this trip.
Once again, time has played havoc with the colors of the slides. I did my best to restore the proper colors, or at least to get rid of the red hues the slides seemed to like. Many of them came out black and white instead of color, but for castle walls, it didn’t matter that much.
